Community & Family Outreach & Support – Chapter Preview

“Building interest through outreach and marketing will help maximize participation, but it’s also an opportunity to create a positive and lasting impression of your school district.”

Each component of a school system’s enrollment management strategy is important, but the linchpin to success is the communication, outreach, and supports provided to families. A district may develop a world-class enrollment system, along with airtight policies and procedures and state of the art technology, but it will all be for naught if parents are not motivated and equipped to engage with the process. Because families play the role of “customer” in the enrollment experience, it is vital that families feel supported not only during the initial enrollment process, but also throughout their children’s enrollment in the school and district.

This chapter on Family & Community Outreach & Support is a sneak preview of SchoolMint’s Complete Guide to Strategic Enrollment Management for School Districts, which will be available in early 2018.
